On Thursday 24 July, our annual Charity 5-a-side Football Tournament returned with a bang at Shoreditch Powerleague, bringing together 10 teams from London’s Facilities Management and Data Centre sectors, approximately 100 spectators, supporters, and guests, all united by one common goal: to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Companies such as Jaguar Building Services, CBRE Data Centres, CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), Ergro, Apleona UK, Edmund Services, NTT Data. Telehouse, and JLL all fielded teams for the exciting evening of football.
Teams representing Jaguar Building Services Ltd and CBRE Global Workplace Solutions proved victorious, both taking home the coveted trophies.
The event raised over £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation, a charity that has been at the forefront of the battle against heart and circulatory diseases for more than six decades. These crucial funds will support BHF’s life-saving research, health services, and advocacy programs, helping to save lives and improve heart health across the UK.
“We are absolutely delighted with the outcome of this year’s tournament,” said James Preston, Managing Director of Preston Recruitment. “Not only did we see some fantastic football on the day, but it was incredible to witness how everyone came together for such an important cause. The support from all the teams, spectators, and sponsors was overwhelming, and we are incredibly proud to have raised much needed funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Thanks to the generosity of all involved, the event is a testament to the strong sense of camaraderie, teamwork, and community that exists within the Facilities Management and Data Centre sectors. We look forward to continuing this tradition and raising even more funds for worthy causes in the years to come.”
