We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturer that designs and builds custom power distribution equipment, switchgear, control systems, and generator-related solutions used across data centres, industrial facilities, utilities, and critical infrastructure.
We’re looking for an Applications Engineer who enjoys a mix of engineering, technical problem-solving, and customer-facing work someone who can interpret requirements, create detailed proposals, and support projects from concept through completion.

The Role:
This position focuses on turning customer requirements into accurate, compliant, and buildable power-system solutions. You’ll work closely with sales teams, engineering, production, and customers to develop project proposals, Bills of Materials, drawings, and documentation for custom electrical systems.
You’ll also provide technical input during customer discussions and ensure all designs meet relevant codes and industry standards.
Project & Technical Work
- Review customer RFQs, specifications, and drawings
- Identify required materials, engineering hours, labor, testing, and field service needs
- Produce electrical drawings and all supporting documentation
- Research and compile detailed Bills of Materials
- Ensure proposals and designs comply with relevant codes and standards (NEC, UL508, UL891, UL1008, UL1558, OSHA, etc.)
Proposal Development
- Develop functional and accurate technical proposals
- Interpret specifications and address technical questions
- Prepare project pricing using internal quoting/ERP tools
- Support sales teams by providing clear, confident technical input during meetings or presentations
Technical Coordination
- Perform necessary engineering calculations and analyses
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams on switchgear, cabling, and system integration
- Provide ongoing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or strong technical equivalent
- Background in electrical power generation, switchgear, or industrial control systems
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with computers, design tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and power-generation components
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to research parts and technical data independently
Salary & Package:
- $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 Per Annum
- Monday to Friday / 40 hours Per Week
