Data Centre Operations Manager – Sunderland, Tyne and Wear – Critical Facilities Management
Are you an experienced Engineering Manager working in a critical environment?
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day Hard FM operations at a state-of-the-art data centre based in Sunderland. You will be responsible for managing a highly skilled engineering team, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all planned and reactive maintenance across critical plant room equipment and infrastructure.
You will oversee a team that includes a Technical Manager and a group of Shift Engineers who work on a variety of systems essential to maintaining uptime and business continuity. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day Hard FM operations across the data centre estate.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of engineers, ensuring high performance and operational excellence.
- Financial profit and loss accountability of a multi million pound contract
- Good commercial awareness
- Ensure all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the highest standard, within SLA and compliance requirements.
- Manage and maintain critical plant room systems, including: UPS Systems & Generators, HV / LV Distribution, HVAC Systems ,Electrical & Mechanical Systems
- Monitor performance, set KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all health, safety, and compliance standards are adhered to at all times.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party contractors to deliver a seamless Hard FM service.
Package & Salary:
- £62,500.00 Per Annum + £5,000.00 Car Allowance
