Preston Recruitment is partnering with an established and growing electrical contractor in Houston to hire an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator.
This is an opportunity for an estimator who already understands commercial electrical construction and wants to join a contractor with a strong project pipeline, long-term stability and genuine opportunities to progress.
You’ll have ownership of major electrical bids, work directly with senior leadership and play an important role in helping the business continue to grow.
The Opportunity:
You’ll be responsible for estimating commercial electrical projects from initial bid review through final submission, including:
- Full electrical quantity take-offs
- Labor and material pricing
- Subcontractor and vendor quotations
- Scope reviews and bid leveling
- Drawing and specification review
- Bid clarifications and exclusions
- Pre-bid meetings and site walks
- Final bid preparation and submission
- Project turnover to operations
You’ll work across projects including:
- Commercial Construction
- Healthcare
- Higher Education
- Industrial
- Mission Critical / Data Centers
- Design-Build Projects
What We’re Looking For:
We’re interested in speaking with estimators who have:
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
- A background working for an electrical contractor
- Strong commercial construction estimating experience
- Experience with Accubid Classic or Accubid Anywhere
- Experience with LiveCount
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of labor, materials and electrical construction methods
Experience using Bluebeam for drawing review and overlays would also be highly beneficial.

$145,000 base salary
